HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training which is short periods of intense or explosive exercise coupled with a small break or active recovery, the exercises are repeated to the point of exhaustion. Gains from this type of training are similar to carrying out long periods of moderate activity. Benefits include improved cardiovascular strength, muscular endurance and high calorie usage.
